Beaches of the Municipality

The Juncal or Puertito Beach, which borders the municipality of Gáldar, is a pebble beach with calm waters. Access is on foot.

La Caleta or Turmán Beach, a bay located between Juncal and Las Salinas, is a pebble cove with moderate waves. Access on foot via a path from El Turmán.

Las Salinas: located at the mouth of the Barranco de Agaete, with pebbles and moderate waves. Access on foot from Avenida Paseo de los Poetas. In this area there are three natural pools connected by tunnels, which not only serve as a leisure area; they also allow diving enthusiasts to observe the marine flora and fauna of the area.

Playa de Las Nieves: beach in front of the current pier, with pebbles and calm waters. Easy access.

Playa del Muelle: located to the left of the old pier, with pebbles and sand and moderate waves. Easy access.

Guayedra Beach: located at the mouth of the Barranco de Guayedra, a stone and black sand beach, open and with strong waves. Access only by all-terrain vehicle and on foot.

Sotavento Beach, access through the Barranco de Guayedra, located to the left of Guayedra Beach, with sand and stones, with strong waves and windy conditions. Access by all-terrain vehicle and on foot.

Risco Beach: located in the Barrio del Risco, with sand, gravel and stones, an open beach with strong waves, easy access.
